Merv and Maridelle Crake

upon retirement. They saw Caspians at the Texas State Fair in 2000 and came to
Texana Farms a year later and purchased an exquisite mare, Esther. This terrific couple
plans to use Esther in a Christian Ministry and Maridelle is riding her as well! Maridelle
reports, "to see her trust in us, her gentleness, her desire to please has been rewarding."
Esther was recently bred to our stallion Karamat.
Mary and Ron Harrison
Illinois
Ron is retired from the University of Illinois and Mary is employed by the Federal Government.
Mary is another enthusiastic and avid horse lover. They had both only read about Caspians and
thought they looked just like little Arabians. They visited in person and purchased
the stallion, Moses and the broodmare Hafeeda. Ron was surprised and impressed with the Caspian's
fluid movement stating, "it is not at all pony-like as I would have expected." Mary commented:
"most young stallions are nippy, but Moses displayed none of that!" These two will be helping
introduce the breed in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and Wisconsin. Their plans for the Caspians
are: Show-Show-Show!

her dreams of horse ownership. She recently acquired a ranch complete with a charming
rock house. She selected the Caspian mares Sherry, Hannah, Sharon and stallion, Ollie.

photos next year! She also has a friend in the mental health field and they hope to
incorporate the Caspians into her therapy in the near future.
